History
Opened in 2002 and owned by the So Paulo Eventos group—founded by entrepreneurs Alejandro Figueroa and Marco Antônio Tobal—this venue underwent a major reopening on December 4, 2012, marked by a performance from the legendary Brazilian singer Roberto Carlos. The venue is highly regarded by Folha de S.Paulo (one of Brazil’s most influential newspapers) for its diverse programming, hosting over 120 national and international concerts annually. Along with its neighbor, Villa Country, it is considered to have the best location for live music in São Paulo due to its easy access via subway and bus lines. Visitors frequently note that the experience offers a more relaxed and premium atmosphere compared to large-scale stadium concerts.
The Experience
Espaço Unimed features a main hall of approximately 37,000 square feet (3,500m²), fully equipped with central air conditioning and five large front-projection screens for event viewing. The venue includes a spacious entrance lobby and is divided into different sections, such as the main floor and corporate boxes (camarotes), which are designed to offer privacy and comfort for VIP guests or business groups.
